Licensing
Through our subsidiary LML Patent Corp., we provide clients licenses to our intellectual property estate, which typically include ongoing royalty fees and, in some cases, release fees for potential past infringement. In some instances license agreements may provide for the payment of contractually determined paid-up license fees to us in consideration for the grant of a non-exclusive, retroactive and future license to our intellectual property estate. Our intellectual property estate includes the following U.S. patents, all of which relate to electronic check processing methods and systems:
